Exactly what I need, a double page spread featuring numerous articles of clothing, their prices and small (yet appropriate) blocks of text. First and foremost the page forms the style of a collage, a technique often used within the magazine industry, particularly with fashion. In my opinion this creative approach to displaying the products is working towards a less formal look.
The images of models have been carefully taken along with associated images of the products being featured. There is a definite colour scheme, the convention of black and white with a deep pink-purple. However, this colour scheme is only followed by the textual content as the products are of a variety of colours. A paper background and faded pastel colour furthermore enhances the art-themed article.
What I personally prefer about this article is the ratio of text to pictures. Because my DPS's target audience is going to be more interested in fashion than the content henceforth my article will be more image-based. Within the article are 3 main aspects in terms of layout. Firstly the header uses 2 different fonts; the sentance 'Lily...' appears more formal, suiting the context, whilst 'Cue...' is more personal and friendly hence the handwriting style font. Secondly is the positioning of different paragraphs, instead of a chronological order they are situated to the nearby associated image. Lastly we have a block of text which summarizes the article and provides background information on the celebrity.

Initial Magazine Ideas
The single most influential point of a magazine is often the working title. Continued from my research into my target market they are arguably critical in their tastes. The title had to be relevant to the content, primarily upon chart music and fashion, but memorable and full of purpose.
Researching into magazine which also aim towards the same demographics I have noticed a trend in names. Often they are 1 or 2 words, examples being Blender, Look (A fashion and celebrity magazine) & Vogue (Fashion). Relatable to their content they are great examples of branding the content itself. Through this I had thoroughly excersised a variety of names (Trend, Charts, M&F & Cult) before deciding on 'Update'. I believe this was a suitable name, referable to trends and changes in music and fashion.
The proportional demographics of my target market is virtually entirely female, however there will be some articles which are aimed at both sexes.
